NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Mower County Planning Commission will assemble on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the County Commissioner’s Room, located in the lower level of the Mower County Government Center, (201 1st Street NE, Austin MN 55912. Enter through the Law Enforcement Center doors), to consider the following Conditional Use Permit application(s) in accordance with Mower County Zoning Ordinance.
Ordinance Amendment: Request to modify the Zoning Ordinance, Article VIII, Division 4 Outdoor Cannabis Grow Facilities. New language regarding outdoor grow facilities.
Ordinance Amendment: Request to modify the Zoning Ordinance, Article X, Accessory Dwelling Units. New language regarding ADU’s.
Notice is hereby given that the Mower County Planning Commission will accept public comments on the aforementioned Conditional Use Permit application(s) in person and via teleconference from the County Commissioner’s Room during the public hearing. To participate in the meeting via Teams, you may obtain the agenda and meeting link on our website at https://www.co.mower.mn.us/129/Agendas-Minutes. Advance written comments can be provided to the Environmental Services office in advance of the public hearing until noon on the day of the public hearing in person or by emailing zoning@co.mower.mn.us.
Notice is hereby given that any recommendations concluded by the Planning Commission shall be forwarded to the Mower County Board of Commissioners for consideration and decision, 7/14/2026 at approximately 9:05 am in the County Commissioner’s Room.
