PUBLIC NOTICE

JAY C. HORMEL NATURE CENTER DISEASED & DANGEROUS TREE REPLACEMENT
NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that Bids will be received by the City of Austin until 12:00 PM (CDT), FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2026, for the furnishing of all materials, equipment and labor for the Hormel Nature Center Diseased & Dangerous Tree Replacement Project. Bids may be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “HNC Tree Planting Bid” and mailed or delivered to the following address:

The bid opening will be conducted in person, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud:

**Contractors are not required to be present for bid opening.

Complete project bidding documents are available online at https://www.hormelnaturecenter.org/project-bids/ or can be requested via email by contacting luke.reese@hormelnaturecenter.org.

All trees shall be planted by JUNE 5, 2026 pending any unforeseen circumstances (weather, equipment failure, etc). Any requested extension must be coordinated and approved by the Nature Center Director.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept or reject any alternatives, waive any informalities, or to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Bids may be held by the Austin City Council for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to award of the bid.
